HURRAY! HURRAY!! THE RAIN HAS STOPPED TODAY, THE SUN IS SHINNING AND THE TEMPERATURE IS PERFECT TO GO AND PLAY OUTSIDE WITH ZAK. SINCE ALL WE HAVE AT OUR HOUSE FOR NOW IS DIRT, WE OCCASIONALLY COME TO MY MOM AND DADS SO ZAK CAN SWING ON THE SWING, AND JUMP ON THE TRAMP, EAT GOOSSBERRIES, AND HAVE GRASS TO THROW HIS SHOES OFF AND RUN.
TODAY I TOOK ZAKERY TO THE DITCH THAT I GREW UP SWIMMING IN WITH ALL THE NEIGHBOR KIDS. HE THOUGHT IT WAS PRETTY NEAT, IT HAD A BRIDGE AND EVERYTHING. THOUGH LOOKING AT IT NOW I CANT BELIEVE MY MOM LET US SWIM IN IT. WOULD I LET ZAK...... NOT SURE I COULD. BUT I HAVE TOLD MYSELF MANY TIMES THAT I WOULD NOT BE THAT KIND OF MOM, AND NOT LET MY KIDS DO THE SAME THINGS I DID GROWING UP, JUST BECAUSE IT LOOKS NASTY OR I THINK IT MIGHT BE A LITTLE TO DANGEROUS...... I SURVIVED RIGHT!!!
ALSO ALONG THE DITCH THERE IS A WEED CALLED SNAKE GRASS. WELL WITH THIS SNAKE GRASS YOU CAN MAKE A WISTLE, SO I TAUGHT ZAK TODAY, I GOT THE BIGGEST GRIN. OF COURSE, ITS A LITTLE HARD TO MAKE THE WISTLE WORK HE WAS UNABLE TO DO IT, BUT PUTTING IT IN HIS MOUTH HE DOES HIS OWN LITTLE WISTLE. WE HAD SO MUCH FUN. WE CAME IN GRANDMA'S HOUSE FOR A BIT TO REST AND WE KEPT HEARING A TAP ON THE WINDOW. HE PRETTY YELLOW BIRD KEPT TRYING TO FLY INTO THE WINDOW. ZAK HAD A KICK OUT OF THAT AND SAT AND WATCHED IT AWHILE. THE AMAZING PART IS THAT THE WINDOW IS PRETTY CLEAN!!!!....... HA HA HA SORRY MOM.

OK SO THE KITCHEN IS NOT QUITE FINISHED. I DO HAVE MORE THAN JUST THAT ONE PENDANT LIGHT NOW. OH AND DONT YOU JUST LOVE THIS COLOR. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!

MASTER BEDROOM FIREPLACE

OK SO FINALLY HERE ARE SOME PICTURES OF THE HOUSE FOR THOSE THAT CAN'T COME AND SEE IT MOVE ALONG WITH PROGRESS WITHOUT THESE PICS.

HERE COMES HELP!!

OUR BASEMENT FLOOD AT THE NEW HOUSE!!! THANK GOODNESS THE ELECTRICIANS WERE THERE AND THEY HELPED ME GET THE DRAIN SOME WHAT PLUGGED SO THE WATER SLOWED DOWN A LITTLE BEFORE LUKE GOT THERE. THE WATER ON THE FIELD THAWED AND STARTED TO COME INTO THE HOUSE SO THERE WAS ABOUT 2 INCHES IN THE WHOLE BASEMENT, LUCKLY WE DONT HAVE IT FINISHED TO MUCH DOWN THERE!!

That same weekend we had a bbq at Ashley's with Jamie and Ryan. It was so fun to be with my sisters and their families. We had a great dinner, my sisters can really cook. We had bbq ribs, steak, twiced bake potatos, baked beans, salad, hot dogs, brownies and ice cream. UUUUUUUUUUUUmmmmmmmmmmm, it was so good!

A couple of weekends ago we went down to Boise to make our mantel for the fireplace in our new house. We stayed with Kirk and Ashley, it was so much fun. Kirk's dad has an amazing wood working shop down in Grand View, and was so kind to let us use the shop and some of his walnut wood. His dad is a real great wood workman, and it was fun to see all of his art that Kirk and Ashley talk about. This is our mantel for the master fireplace. I love it because we have didnt have to stain it that is the true color of walnut!!! We had a blast doing it and being able to spend time with Ashley and Kirk was great.

Kirk and Luke sanding in the garage before the finish.

Kirk's Dad!!!

This is Ashley and Kirk plaining the pieces of walnut before we could get started.

Larry's shop. It is set up so that all the saw dust is ventilated out. WOW!! no saw dust on the floors, and all of his tools have there places.

Zakery and Liv sitting outside eating donuts, and fish because the plainer was way to loud!!

WE HAVE BEEN SO BUSY ALWAYS WORKING ON THE HOUSE, AND SO ONE SUNDAY WE DECIDED TO GO FOR A RIDE UP TO WOLVERINE. WE COULDNT GO TO FAR BECAUSE OF ALL THE SNOW, BUT WE GOT TO CEDAR CREEK, IT WAS STILL FUN. WE DONT DRIVE OUR FORD PICKUP TO MUCH SO ZAK LOVES IT WHEN HE GETS TO RIDE IN DAD'S BIG TRUCK. IT TURNED OUT TO BE A GREAT MORNING, BUT AS SOON AS WE GOT UP TO THE MOUNTAINS IT STARTED TO SNOW A LITTLE. IT WAS SO NICE TO SIT BACK AND RELAX AND TAKE IN GODS CREATIONS. ON THE WAY UP WE HAD TO STOP AND WATCH A MAJESTIC BOLD EAGLE PERCHED ON A FENCE POST, LUCKLY WE GOT A GREAT PICTURE. WE SAW MANY DEER, BUT ZAK SAID HE SAW A ELK, MOOSE, AND BEAR. IT HAS BEEN SO FUN TO WATCH HIM GROW, AND HAVE THE SAME LIKES AS HIS FATHER.
IT WAS ALSO GOOD TO REFLECT ON HOW BLESSED WE HAVE BEEN, ESPECIALLY WITH THE HOUSE. WE HAVE GAINED A LOT OF EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND HAVE LEARNED TO WORK TOGETHER. I CANT BELIEVE HOW MUCH LUKE HAS DONE, AND NOT ONCE HAS HE SAID THAT HE WAS EXHAUSTED OR TO BURNT OUT, HE REALLY IS A HARD WORKER AND DOES SO MUCH FOR OUR LITTLE FAMILY. IT ALSO MADE ME REALIZE HOW MUCH I COMPLAIN ABOUT THE LITTLE THINGS, BUT I HAVE LEARNED NOT TO BECAUSE OF HIM AND HIS WILLINGNESS TO STRIVE TO ALWAYS DO THINGS FOR ZAK AND I AND KNOW HE HAS TO BE SO TIRED, ESPEACIALLY GOING ON ALMOST A YEAR NOW WORKING ON BUILDING OUR HOUSE (HOME). I JUST CANT WAIT TO CALL IT OURS AND FEEL LIKE WE CAN FINALLY BUILD OUR LIVES TOGETHER AND ACCOMPLISH A GOAL WE HAVE BEEN STRIVING FOR AND CONTINUE TO GROW AND HAVE A FAMILY.

So it have been an adventure building our new house. We started in May of 2008 and we are still working on it. Luke has been doing all the work himself, well with the help of his father and very willing wife and son and many other helpers as well, it would take alot to list and I dont want to leave anyone out. Thanks so much for the hard hard work!
We just cant wait to get moved in. Right now we have the sheet rockers working on texture, and will hopefully be done in a couple days when the work really begins for me. PAINT! It is not my favorite thing in the world to do, but choosing all the colors myself helps me and i am so excited to see what it will look like. Here are some pictures we have takin along the way.
HERE IS OUR NEW BLOG THE OTHER ONE WAS NOT WORKING!
